Teacher Aide (Part‑time, Fixed‑term)

About the role

As a Teacher Aide at Longreach State High School, you will support teachers and students in daily classroom activities, helping to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment. This part‑time, fixed‑term role runs until September 2026 and offers the chance to make a tangible difference in a close‑knit outback community.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers and students with sporting activities and school excursions.
• Manage and stock‑take equipment and learning resources.
• Provide clerical support such as typing teachers’ notes, duplicating and photocopying teaching materials, preparing exam papers and recording examination results.
• Check bus lists, compile student result records and help organise off‑site activities.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain accurate records and handle confidential information.
• Flexibility to adapt to a range of classroom and extracurricular tasks.

Required skills

• Typing and basic clerical abilities.
• Experience with photocopying, duplicating and handling paper‑based examination materials.
• Equipment management and stock‑taking competence.
