Tax Specialist

About the role

The Tax Specialist will support the organization’s tax reporting, compliance, and audit functions. This role ensures accurate tax calculations, timely filings, and provides insights on tax implications for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare tax calculations, provisions, returns and support external audit requirements.
• Handle complex tax issues across Business Units and advise on tax provisions in material contracts.
• Assist in responding to regional and corporate questionnaires, attestations, and quarterly board reports.
• Provide tax training and updates to internal and selected external stakeholders.
• Lead tax compliance reviews, including transfer pricing reconciliations.
• Participate in tax planning, analysis, accounting, and reporting in line with Philippine tax rules, PFRS, IFRS, and management reporting requirements.
• Prepare reports for regulatory audits and deliver timely analyses of possible actions.
• Review and update tax process documentation, treatments, and support tax‑saving initiatives.

Required profile

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• Minimum three (3) years of relevant tax practice, preferably in a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Experience in tax reporting, audits, and consultancy work.
• Knowledge of Philippine taxation and related regulations.
• Experience in the life insurance, trust, or mutual fund industry is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent organizational skills.
