Tax Specialist – Compliance & Advisory

About the role

The Tax Specialist ensures full compliance with Philippine tax laws and regulatory requirements. Working closely with external consultants and internal stakeholders, the role oversees tax reporting, VAT claims, audits, statutory filings, and provides advisory support while guiding the Treasury Officer.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate tax compliance for VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and statutory filings.
• Manage tax reconciliations, documentation, and audit readiness.
• Coordinate VAT claims, tax audits, and BIR assessments with external consultants.
• Handle SEC and other regulatory filings such as AFS and GIS.
• Monitor tax law updates and advise the business on implications.
• Support tax initiatives including e‑invoicing, transfer pricing, and tax health checks.
• Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Shared Services, and Treasury to maintain compliance.
• Provide functional guidance to the Treasury Officer and assist in implementing tax strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in tax compliance, accounting, or finance, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine tax regulations (VAT, withholding tax, corporate income tax).
• Experience handling BIR audits and working with external tax consultants.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organisational abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Laguna.
