Tax Officer (CPA) – Tax Compliance & Advisory

About the role

The Tax Officer (CPA) will support the business unit in implementing tax planning and compliance strategies. You will ensure accurate and timely filing of all local and national tax returns while providing basic tax guidance to internal stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of tax planning and compliance strategies.
• Prepare, file, and pay all local and national tax returns on schedule.
• Conduct regular reviews of tax compliance to meet BIR, LGU, and BOC requirements.
• Handle day‑to‑day tax matters, including schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
• Support BIR, LGU, and Customs audits, inspections, and permit processes.
• Coordinate with internal departments, auditors, consultants, and government agencies on tax issues.
• Monitor updates in tax laws, regulations, and issuances and disseminate relevant information.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for all tax filings and transactions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in tax compliance, advisory, or audit.
• CPA certification is mandatory.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with internal and external parties.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Philippine tax laws (BIR, LGU, BOC).
• Familiarity with accounting standards and basic financial reporting.
• Experience with BIR and LGU audits; BOC exposure is a plus.
• CPA qualification.
