Tax Manager – Real Property & Local Business Tax

About the role

Globe is seeking a Tax Manager to lead its real property tax, local business tax and broader tax compliance functions. The role will ensure accurate tax filings, manage audits and support strategic tax initiatives across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Address tax issues and ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations.
• Handle BIR, LGU and customs audits, including permit requirements.
• Review, strategize and prepare annual Real Property Tax (RPT) payments and verify deficiency assessments.
• Prepare computations and reports on local tax matters and maintain a monitoring database of RPT payments per LGU.
• Plan, file, pay and advocate the company’s position on Local Business Tax.
• Liaise between the Management System (MS) team and other departments, monitoring progress and ensuring governance.
• Develop initiatives to improve local tax processes, including data cleanup of property registration files.
• Assist in tax impact assessments for corporate reorganizations, tax planning for contracts and commercial agreements, and conduct tax due diligence.
• Prepare and review tax returns and provide general taxation advisory.

Required profile

• Proven experience in tax compliance, audit support and tax advisory, preferably within the Philippines.
• Strong knowledge of BIR, LGU and customs regulations, real property tax and local business tax.
• Ability to coordinate with government officials and advocate the company’s tax position.
• Analytical mindset with experience in preparing tax computations, reports and due‑diligence documentation.
