Tax Manager

About the role

The Tax Manager will lead all tax-related activities for Cove Professional Services and its client portfolio. Based on‑site in Calamba, this full‑time position ensures accurate, timely tax filings and provides strategic guidance on tax planning and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file tax returns, schedules, and supporting documentation for the company and its clients.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions while maintaining compliance.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, interpreting impacts for business operations.
• Review and improve tax compliance processes, resolve tax issues, and coordinate with external agencies as needed.
• Collaborate with accounting and payroll teams, support audits, and strengthen internal tax controls.
• Provide clear, practical tax guidance to internal stakeholders and clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in tax planning, compliance, and preparation across multiple tax types (income, sales, payroll, local).
• Demonstrated ability to interpret tax law changes and communicate implications to non‑specialists.
• Experience with small‑business taxation and familiarity with bookkeeping and payroll processes.
• Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and high integrity.

• QuickBooks (experience with accounting and tax software is an advantage).
