Structural Engineer – Reinforced Concrete & Steel

About the role

Surbana Jurong is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of civil and structural projects worldwide. You will work under general supervision, handling all phases of structural engineering from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design calculations for reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Develop design criteria for gravity, wind, seismic and other applicable loads.
• Prepare, review and organize technical data, calculations and engineering reports.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, client requirements and quality procedures.
• Review drawings and design documents for technical accuracy and completeness.
• Apply engineering principles such as statics, strength of materials, finite‑element modeling and structural systems.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to drafters, designers and junior engineers.
• Identify design challenges and develop cost‑effective solutions to support project delivery.

Required profile

• Licensed Civil/Structural Engineer.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in structural analysis, design and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures.
• Strong understanding of international and local structural design codes and standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and technical writing abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
