Staff Engineer, Analog Design Engineering

About the role

The P4 Analog Design Engineer will independently design and verify advanced analog and mixed‑signal blocks for the Joint Development Team’s research and product programs. This senior position includes full ownership of blocks, mentorship of junior engineers, and driving methodological improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Own transistor‑level design of analog and mixed‑signal blocks such as amplifiers, references, ADC/DAC front‑ends, bias circuits, oscillators, and regulators.
• Perform analysis, modeling, architecture definition, schematic design, simulation, corner analysis, and layout interaction.
• Lead design reviews, verification reviews, and silicon correlation activities.
• Support layout, test, validation, lab debug, measurement correlation, data review, and documentation for first‑silicon bring‑up.
• Develop design methodologies, modeling techniques, and evaluation infrastructures.
• Collaborate closely with digital, verification, systems, test, and applications teams.
• Mentor and guide P1–P3 analog engineers.
• Work effectively on a multi‑site, flexible, and dynamic team environment.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong background in analog and mixed‑signal circuit design.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills across multiple sites.
