Specialist Physician in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

About the role

Capio BUP Falun is looking for a specialist physician to join its child and adolescent psychiatry team. The role involves delivering high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to children, youths and their families in a collaborative, patient-centred environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments, diagnostics and treatment planning for children and adolescents.
• Prescribe and monitor medication, ensuring structured follow-up.
• Perform neuropsychiatric investigations and evaluate complex cases.
• Coordinate care with parents, schools, social services, primary care and other health providers.
• Contribute to quality assurance, patient safety initiatives and development of clinical routines.

Required profile

• Licensed medical doctor with specialist competence in child and adolescent psychiatry and/or psychiatry.
• Genuine interest in youth mental health and a commitment to safe, family-focused care.
• Comfortable working in a multidisciplinary team and communicating with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Medical assessment and diagnostic skills in child and adolescent psychiatry.
• Medication management and structured drug follow-up.
• Neuropsychiatric evaluation techniques.
