Specialist II General Ledger (Spanish)

About the role

This position is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the organization’s general ledger, ensuring accurate cash and bank reconciliations, balance‑sheet account validation, and fixed‑asset accounting. The role requires close collaboration with internal partners and supports audit activities while adhering to internal controls and GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bank reconciliations and validate cash transaction accuracy.
• Execute balance‑sheet account reconciliations, vouching source documents.
• Generate analytical reports to identify and correct misrecorded transactions.
• Maintain audit trails and post journal entries to restate account balances.
• Manage fixed‑asset accounting, including recognition, depreciation, transfers, retirements and write‑offs.
• Apply internal controls in line with corporate policies and GAAP.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to meet critical deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of general accounting experience, primarily in general ledger functions.
• Proven experience with bank, balance‑sheet, and fixed‑asset reconciliations.
• Spanish language certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems: Oracle, JD Edwards (JDE) and SAP.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls and GAAP.
• Experience in bank reconciliation, balance‑sheet reconciliation and fixed‑asset accounting.
