SOX Controls Specialist – Business Processes

About the role

The SOX Controls Specialist – Business Processes will lead annual Sarbanes‑Oxley (SOX) 404 testing for manual business controls across multiple regions. You will work closely with the global SOX team, process owners and external auditors to ensure consistent methodology, high‑quality documentation and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manual business control testing for processes such as Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay and Record‑to‑Report.
• Document test results, gather evidence and assess control design and operating effectiveness.
• Identify issues, track remediation and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Support risk assessment, scoping and the overall SOX lifecycle using workflow and dashboard tools.
• Collaborate with ERP (SAP) users and data‑analytics teams to enhance testing efficiency.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or a related field; CPA or CIA preferred.
• 2–3 years of experience in financial audit, ICFR or SOX compliance, preferably in a global environment.
• Strong understanding of business‑process controls, control design, effectiveness testing and SOX 404 requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple testing assignments, meet strict deadlines and produce clear documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and exposure to data‑analytics, visualisation, automation or AI tools.
