Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading e‑commerce technology team. The position is fully remote and focuses on building scalable backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services in a distributed environment.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code following industry best practices.
• Profile, debug, and optimise algorithms to improve system performance.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver new features.

Required profile

• Full‑time availability for a remote role.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices, or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
