Social Media Officer

About the role

The Social Media Officer will craft and execute curated social media content and campaigns that amplify BPI’s corporate narrative. This role aims to grow the bank’s reputation, shape public opinion, and create a favorable social media environment.

Key responsibilities

• Produce engaging content that expands reach, drives relevant engagement, and grows the audience across Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.
• Manage the bank’s social media assets, ensuring regular release of viral and highly relevant posts.
• Identify, develop, and implement initiatives to enhance reputation and foster a positive social media climate.
• Research emerging social media trends and best practices to keep strategies current.
• Monitor conversations on and off official channels, extracting insights to improve brand perception.
• Collaborate with business units, writers, and multimedia artists to create informative, engaging content.
• Handle complex or sensitive social media inquiries that could impact the bank’s reputation.
• Contribute to the creation and enforcement of social media policies and guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in content and community management with a proven strategic track record.
• Background in financial services, retail banking, or industries serving known customers (e.g., FMCG, retail).
• Familiarity with bank/financial institution products and services.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and written communication skills.
• Innovative mindset, able to think creatively in a fast‑paced environment.
