Social Media Manager (Podcast & Video)

About the role

We are seeking a strategic and reliable Social Media Manager to own the social presence of an established business podcast. You will transform long‑form episodes into short‑form clips, publish daily across major platforms, and revitalize a large back‑catalog of existing videos.

Key responsibilities

• Convert long‑form podcast episodes into short‑form clips and schedule multi‑day rollouts.
• Publish daily on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Spotify, maintaining a consistent cadence.
• Write and refine captions, descriptions, and metadata, using AI as a draft tool only.
• Perform full YouTube SEO for each upload, including keyword research, titles, tags, chapters, captions, end screens, and playlists.
• Manually tag relevant businesses and accounts when scheduling tools fall short.
• Coordinate thumbnail briefs and ensure approved thumbnails are applied before publishing.
• Respond to comments and DMs within 24 hours to foster community engagement.
• Audit and re‑optimize ~500 existing videos, updating thumbnails and metadata.
• Monitor analytics, identify growth opportunities, and provide data‑backed recommendations.
• Deliver daily Loom progress updates with proof of publishing, key metrics, and next‑day plans.

Required profile

• Self‑starter who treats analytics as a compass.
• Detail‑oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.
• Strong written communication with a human, on‑brand voice.
• Proactive communicator comfortable with daily Loom‑style reporting.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with clip‑generation and scheduling tools such as Opus Clips, Repurpose.io, Publer.
• Advanced YouTube SEO knowledge (titles, tags, metadata, chapters, captions).
• Proficiency in YouTube Studio.
• Familiarity with TubeBuddy or VidIQ (preferred).
• Experience with video editing tools like CapCut.
• Community management across comments and direct messages.
• Ability to create and deliver Loom video reports.
