SOC/Cyber Defense Analyst (Open to Fresh Graduates)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Level 1 SOC Analyst to join our Security Operations Center. This entry‑level position is ideal for fresh graduates or candidates with up to one year of experience who want to develop skills in security monitoring, incident detection, and response.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor alerts from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, firewalls, email security and other tools.
• Perform initial triage, assess severity, and identify indicators of compromise.
• Escalate confirmed or suspicious incidents to Level 2 analysts or Incident Response teams.
• Analyze logs, network traffic, endpoint alerts, phishing emails and user activity.
• Document investigation findings and actions in ticketing or case management systems.
• Follow SOC playbooks, SOPs and incident‑response workflows.
• Assist with basic threat‑intelligence checks (IP, domain, URL, hash, email artifacts).
• Support phishing analysis and help tune alerts to reduce false positives.
• Participate in shift handovers and provide clear updates on ongoing alerts.
• Help prepare daily, weekly or monthly SOC reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity or related field (fresh graduates welcome).
• 0–1 year of experience in cybersecurity, IT support, network operations or similar.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles, common attack methods and security operations.
• Fundamental networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, firewalls, ports).
• Familiarity with SIEM and EDR concepts.

Required skills

• SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel, Elastic Stack).
• Endpoint Detection and Response tools (Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black).
• Log analysis and security event correlation.
• Network traffic analysis.
• Phishing email analysis.
