Service Desk Technician – Entry Level (Contract)

About the role

Join a global payments leader as a Service Desk Technician, supporting end‑user devices and infrastructure across the organization. This entry‑level, contract position offers hands‑on experience with desktops, laptops, MACs, and virtual environments while contributing to a high‑performing Global Service Desk team.

Key responsibilities

• Install, image, and configure desktops, laptops, Thin Clients and VDI devices for deployment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues to minimize downtime.
• Maintain Active Directory user objects, set up email accounts, and manage LAN service access.
• Support MDM platforms and MAC environments where applicable.
• Generate basic performance reports and keep departmental documentation up to date.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and service‑desk standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Entry‑level candidates welcomed; no prior professional experience required.
• Basic exposure to IT support, servers, networks, or customer‑service environments.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices, ticketing systems, or service‑desk tools is a plus.
