SEO Strategist – Permanent Remote Role

About the role

Lightspeed is seeking an SEO Strategist to support the growth and visibility of its brand across EMEA markets. This permanent, work‑from‑home position focuses on technical SEO execution, content optimisation, and proactive website management to improve organic search performance.

Key responsibilities

• Support technical SEO initiatives across EMEA websites, including crawlability, indexation, internal linking, and site‑structure improvements.
• Conduct technical SEO audits using Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and SEMrush to identify and resolve issues.
• Monitor website health and SEO performance through GA4, Google Search Console, and other reporting platforms.
• Implement SEO updates within WordPress, such as metadata, redirects, URL management, and page optimisation.
• Optimise on‑page content and perform keyword research to boost organic visibility.
• Collaborate with content, marketing, and development teams to embed SEO best practices into web projects.
• Support structured data, schema markup, and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) initiatives.
• Stay informed on emerging SEO and AI search trends and share insights with the team.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an SEO‑focused role, preferably in a multi‑market or international environment.
• Hands‑on experience with technical SEO, including crawlability, indexation, site structure, and internal linking optimisation.
• Proficiency with SEO audit and analysis tools such as Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, and SEMrush.
• Working knowledge of Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager.
• Strong experience managing and optimising websites within WordPress CMS.
