Senior Technical Specialist – Systems

About the role

The Senior Technical Specialist – Systems will ensure the effective provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of Surbana Jurong’s global IT infrastructure. You will act as a key escalation point for the help‑desk, support global users, and drive continuous improvement across hardware, software and network services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide desktop support via phone, email, Lync or TeamViewer and serve as an escalation point for the service desk.
• Troubleshoot and resolve systems, security and network issues for global users.
• Monitor and support IT infrastructure according to the IT Operations Service Catalogue, including after‑hours and holiday shifts.
• Maintain and enforce patch‑management and availability‑management processes.
• Assist with acquisition, installation, maintenance, training and hand‑over of infrastructure systems.
• Participate in the rollout of new technologies such as virtualization, performance monitoring tools and data‑backup solutions.
• Support security measures including Active Directory, anti‑virus, and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Prepare cost analyses and purchasing recommendations to meet budgetary goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Five or more years of technical and managerial experience in IT systems.
• Proven ability to supervise associate or technical specialist resources.
