Senior Tax Accountant (Australia) – Hybrid – Cebu

About the role

Cloudstaff is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to support Australian‑focused clients while working from our hybrid office in Cebu, Philippines. You will lead the preparation of tax returns, financial statements, and advisory services, while mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in line with current legal and accounting standards.
• Draft clear work papers and management accounting reports.
• Identify, research, and resolve complex accounting issues.
• Apply Australian tax compliance procedures and assist with tax planning.
• Conduct reviews of Australian income tax and FBT returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.
• Meet lodgement deadlines and ensure accurate filing.
• Mentor graduates and intermediate accountants, reviewing their work as needed.

Required profile

• Business/Commerce degree with an Accounting major.
• Completion of CPA or equivalent qualification.
• 4‑6 years of experience in a similar tax/accounting role.
• Exposure to a wide range of industries.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
