Senior Specialist Tax

About the role

The Senior Specialist Tax will lead tax compliance activities for our Manila operations, ensuring accurate filing and adherence to local regulations. This role supports the broader finance team and acts as a key point of contact for tax audits and queries.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and process withholding tax certificates and VAT input/output documentation for filing.
• Reconcile withholding tax accounts and chase outstanding tax certificates.
• Maintain compliance with site‑specific regulatory requirements.
• Manage tax‑related queries and reconcile tax filings with payments.
• Maintain a database of filed returns, proof of payments, and cost‑pool entries.
• Serve as focal point for audits, providing required documentation and support.
• Prepare, analyze, and resolve aged balances in tax schedules.
• Implement process improvements and act as backup for the Tax team.
• Apply internal controls in line with Corporate Policies & Procedures and GAAP.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in tax compliance, preferably within a Manila or Philippines context.
• Strong understanding of withholding tax, VAT, and local tax regulations.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with finance and audit teams.
