Senior Software Engineer – Contract (Remote)

About the role
Pear Suite is a mission‑driven healthcare technology company that builds tools for community health workers, doulas, and other frontline providers. We are looking for a senior software engineer on a contract basis to help design, develop, and scale our platform.
Key responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable, reusable software components.
- Document architectural decisions and design specifications clearly.
- Write production‑grade code following best engineering practices.
- Implement thorough unit, integration, and system testing.
- Build and maintain cloud environments on GCP and AWS.
Required profile
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in fast‑paced startup environments.
- Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Comfortable collaborating across time zones, especially US Pacific Time (PST).
- Excellent written and spoken English.
