Senior Software Engineer – Contract (Remote)

About the role

Pear Suite is a mission‑driven healthcare technology company that builds tools for community health workers, doulas, and other frontline providers. We are looking for a senior software engineer on a contract basis to help design, develop, and scale our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and architect scalable, reusable software components.
• Document architectural decisions and design specifications clearly.
• Write production‑grade code following best engineering practices.
• Implement thorough unit, integration, and system testing.
• Build and maintain cloud environments on GCP and AWS.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in fast‑paced startup environments.
• Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Comfortable collaborating across time zones, especially US Pacific Time (PST).
• Excellent written and spoken English.
