About the role

GECO Philippines is looking for a Senior Software Engineer specialized in backend development. You will design, build, and maintain high‑performance APIs and services using JavaScript/TypeScript while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs.
Implement micro‑service architectures and ensure system reliability.
Write clean, reusable code following clean‑architecture principles.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions and CI/CD pipeline improvements.
Optimize performance, scalability and resource usage.
Troubleshoot production issues and provide long‑term fixes.
Mentor junior developers and share best practices.

Required profile

5+ years of professional experience in backend/software engineering.
Strong system design and architecture background.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
Excellent problem‑solving abilities and communication skills.
