Senior Quality Engineer - AEM Cloud

About the role

Manulife's Global Operations and Marketing Technology team is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality engineering for its digital operations. The role builds robust testing frameworks and automation practices so that digital experiences delivered to customers worldwide are secure, scalable and high performing. It combines technical leadership with strategic execution, with collaboration across regions and exposure to modern cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality engineering automation to improve software quality and reliability
• Design and run automated test strategies for AEM Cloud applications using tools such as Selenium, BrowserStack, TestNG, JUnit and Cypress
• Maintain automation scripts, generate reports and investigate automation failures
• Develop test patterns for performance, scalability and reliability, and drive quality-centric development practices
• Prepare quality audit reports and track metrics such as defect density, defect frequency and first-time pass rate
• Work with developers, product managers and DevOps to integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)
• Validate component-level functionality and content authoring workflows with AEM developers
• Oversee test environments, including cloud-based infrastructure and service virtualization
• Mentor team members on QA/QE practices and build automated test suites for functional, regression, performance and security testing

Required profile

• 5-10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Software Testing or Quality Assurance in large-scale, complex software environments
• Experience testing Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Cloud Service applications
• Extensive experience with manual and automated testing strategies
• Experience leading quality engineering practices across the SDLC and mentoring QA engineers

Required skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright for end-to-end automation, including framework development and CI/CD integration
• CI/CD integration with Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps
• Automation frameworks built with JavaScript/TypeScript
• Preferred: Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, Siteimprove
