Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a UK‑based company’s Philippines team. The role is full‑time, onsite, and involves working on both client projects and internal R&D initiatives, delivering detailed designs, drawings, and technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 2D/3D SolidWorks and AutoCAD drawings, assemblies, and BOMs for ergonomic equipment, lifting systems, and sheet‑metal or welded structures.
• Generate flat patterns, bill of materials and ensure delivery within project timelines.
• Provide technical support during manufacturing and prototype testing.
• Develop and optimise the company’s flagship product range, integrating customer requirements and EU Machinery Directive standards.
• Design and integrate electrical/electronic components, create electrical schematics and PLC/automation logic diagrams.
• Develop automation programs, set up test benches and validate functionality.
• Prepare complete technical dossiers, including user manuals, risk assessments and manufacturing instructions.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in machinery/equipment design.
• Expert level in 3D modelling, 2D drafting, assemblies and BOM creation.
• Proven experience designing CE‑certified industrial equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical schematics and PLC programming.
• Native or fully fluent English (C1 minimum); French is a plus.
