Senior Linux Engineer

About the role

TP ICAP Group is seeking a Senior Linux Engineer to join its Global Linux Team. You will manage a large Red Hat Linux estate across physical, virtual and cloud environments, supporting critical market‑infrastructure services for a leading financial services firm.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day technical support for Unix server infrastructure, including OS and hardware administration.
• Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and remediate performance or failure issues.
• Execute ITIL‑based requests and tasks, ensuring compliance with change and release processes.
• Participate in projects, coordinating with project teams to transition new servers, software tools and functionality into production.
• Review and recommend improvements to Linux infrastructure, establishing best practices and documentation, including disaster‑recovery plans.
• Maintain operational health of systems, drive standards and reference architecture, and innovate for greater efficiency.

Required profile

• Extensive experience as a Linux System Administrator/Engineer, preferably within a financial institution or similar high‑availability environment.
• Ability to work the mid‑shift (starting 2 pm PHT).
• Strong understanding of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Unix, and server hardware.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and documentation standards.
