Senior General Accountant

About the role

Flat Planet is hiring a Senior General Accountant to support the General Accounting function of Manila Finance. You will provide accurate, timely and relevant monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports to leaders, managers, auditors and other stakeholders, and will be assigned projects and ad hoc tasks. The work setup is one week onsite, then working from home Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Key responsibilities

• Summarize the current financial position and prepare the full set of financial statements and other reports
• Prepare supporting calculations for GST and income tax returns
• Analyze and calculate the organization's financial requirements
• Respond promptly to inquiries and assist with or prepare support for audits
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, management or finance
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; international organization or shared service experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• Good written and verbal communication skills and strong attention to detail

Required skills

• Consolidation, shared services setup and reconciliation experience (shared services preferred)
• Account preparation for intercompany, leases and fixed assets
• Advanced Microsoft Excel, with VBA a plus
• MS Office suite including Outlook, Word and PowerPoint
