Senior Bookkeeper – Australian Public Practice

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team in the Philippines and support an Australian public practice accounting firm. You will manage end‑to‑end bookkeeping for multiple Australian clients, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for several Australian client portfolios.
• Process and reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other balance‑sheet items.
• Record sales, purchases, expenses, journals, and maintain general ledgers.
• Prepare bookkeeping records and reports to support BAS/GST lodgements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records in line with Australian accounting standards.
• Collaborate closely with Australian accountants and internal teams.
• Identify discrepancies, resolve issues proactively, and communicate professionally with clients via email, chat, and virtual meetings.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of proven bookkeeping experience in an Australian public‑practice environment.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple client portfolios with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of Australian bookkeeping principles, GST treatment, and coding.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong organizational abilities.
• Willingness to work onsite at the Eastvantage office in the Philippines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Xero.
• Proficiency with MYOB.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online.
