Senior Associate Accountant – Finance Shared Services

About the role

The Finance Senior Associate Accountant will handle a wide range of accounting transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, fixed assets, and master data management. You will work within Surbana Jurong's shared services environment, ensuring accurate processing and timely delivery of financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Process and review AP, AR, general accounting, fixed‑asset, and master‑data transactions.
• Create PR/PO, manage vendor invoices, run payroll, process travel expenses, billing and cash applications.
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments, asset capitalizations, disposals, transfers and depreciation.
• Execute month‑end close activities, bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Validate transaction accuracy against controls, accounting principles and company policies.
• Assist internal and external auditors with supporting documentation.
• Communicate issues and expectations with stakeholders promptly.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 3‑5 years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, fixed‑asset accounting, master‑data management, or bank/balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Experience in a finance shared‑services or BPO environment is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CPA or MBA are an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in a multicultural setting.

Required skills

• SAP (mandatory).
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
