Senior Architectural Technician – NZ Documentation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join our offshore team, focusing on New Zealand‑specific documentation standards. The role works under a NZ‑based Senior Architect to deliver consent‑ready drawing sets for aged‑care and multi‑unit residential projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality architectural documentation, including floor plans, elevations, sections and construction details, compliant with the NZ Building Code.
• Prepare and coordinate drawing sets for consenting and construction.
• Develop and maintain Revit models, ensuring consistency across all outputs.
• Manage project files and workflows using Autodesk Construction Cloud and Bluebeam Revu.
• Liaise with local consultants, contractors and suppliers to ensure accuracy.
• Identify and resolve technical issues within documentation packages independently.
• Maintain a professional remote working environment with reliable connectivity.

Required profile

• Architectural Technology qualification (Diploma, Bachelor or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience in architectural documentation.
• At least 2 years offshore delivery experience for a NZ or Australian practice, with portfolio evidence.
• Strong knowledge of the New Zealand Building Code, standards and delivery models.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Reliable high‑speed internet and a dedicated remote workspace.

What we offer
