Senior Accountant – Remote (Philippines)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, self‑motivated Senior Accountant to join our fully remote team. The role will own core accounting functions, support month‑end and year‑end close, and provide reliable financial reporting and analysis across multiple client engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day general ledger activity, including journal entries, account reconciliations and chart of accounts maintenance.
• Lead or support month‑end and year‑end close processes, delivering accurate financial statements on time.
• Prepare and distribute internal financial reports, highlighting variances and trends for management.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring proper coding, approvals and timely processing.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow projection preparation.
• Support external audits and tax preparation by organizing workpapers and documentation.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, workflows and internal controls.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and serve as a technical resource.
• Collaborate effectively with remote team members across time zones.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA license or active CPA candidate preferred.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a senior or lead role.
• Prior remote work experience is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage or similar ERP platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling).
• Familiarity with AI tools and automation for workflow efficiency.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
