Senior Accountant – Multi-Entity & Tax Specialist

About the role

TOA Global is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead complex multi‑entity accounting and tax compliance for Australian‑based clients. The role combines advanced ledger management, financial statement preparation, and specialised GST/BAS reporting using a modern accounting technology stack.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and draft accurate financial statements and working papers for companies, trusts, and partnerships.
• Maintain general ledger, fixed‑asset registers and achieve clean trial balances for multi‑entity clients.
• Review, reconcile and process GST, Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).
• Draft income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Support Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) filings and assist with preliminary tax planning.
• Serve as a power user of Xero and XPM, handling bank reconciliations and digital file management.
• Utilise Active Workpapers and CLASS software for documentation and SMSF compliance tracking.

Required profile

• 4‑5 years of Australian taxation and public practice experience (New Zealand experience valued).
• Proven track record of end‑to‑end accounting compliance cycles.
• Stable employment history with a commitment to long‑term roles.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
