Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will lead cash accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS. Working closely with the Team Leader, this role drives team performance, mentors junior staff, and supports strategic business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reports.
• Execute month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and perform daily, weekly and monthly cash reconciliations for bank accounts.
• Investigate and resolve cash balance discrepancies and ensure proper matching of bank transactions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accountants.
• Analyze financial trends and identify unusual transactions through data analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Minimum four years of experience in financial analysis, reporting or accounting, preferably with international exposure.
• Strong attention to detail, organized and able to work autonomously while collaborating with senior leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis tools).
• Experience with Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS accounting standards.
