Senior Accountant (Australian Tax & BGL Specialist)

About the role

We are looking for a senior‑level Australian tax professional to join our Makati office on a full‑time, permanent basis. The role will focus on delivering high‑quality Australian financial statements and tax returns while mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, compile and file Australian financial statements and annual income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and sole traders.
• Prepare, balance and review quarterly/monthly Business Activity Statements (BAS), GST allocations and annual Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) calculations.
• Manage compliance pipelines for capital gains, corporate distributions and Self‑Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) tax files.
• Conduct technical cross‑examinations and quality reviews of work prepared by junior accountants before partner sign‑off.
• Coordinate with on‑shore Australian counterparts to resolve queries and reduce tax file turnaround times.
• Maintain strict security protocols for handling sensitive financial data on‑site.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in an Australian public practice firm or an offshore Australian accounting provider.
• Deep knowledge of Australian taxation, including BAS, GST, FBT and SMSF regulations.
• Proven ability to mentor junior staff and perform peer‑review quality assurance.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
