Sales and Business Development Executive

About the role

The Sales and Business Development Executive will generate new accounts, convert leads into sales, and nurture existing client relationships. Working closely with Citadel's operations and finance teams, the role ensures compliance with processing rules while protecting both customers and the company financially.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new accounts and turn sales leads into actual sales.
• Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure compliance and financial protection.
• Build and maintain a strong network of local and international partners, including shipping lines and NVOCCs.
• Plan, execute, and manage sales bookings in line with company policy and management support.
• Maintain customer loyalty through regular visits, calls, and ongoing communication.
• Expand and optimize the existing customer portfolio.
• Promote and sell logistics solutions such as Ocean Freight, Forwarding, hub and Clearance.
• Recommend appropriate transport offers and propose alternatives when needed.
• Follow all standard operating procedures for offers and quotations, obtaining management approval before client submission.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within logistics or transport.
• Strong ability to build and sustain relationships with partners and customers.
• Excellent communication skills for client interaction and internal coordination.
• Detail‑oriented approach to follow SOPs and obtain necessary approvals.
