Sales Account Assistant Manager

About the role

The Sales Account Assistant Manager supports the Sales & Marketing team of a Marriott hotel by handling guest inquiries, processing reservations, and promoting brand loyalty. This full‑time position combines front‑office interaction with back‑office administrative tasks to maximise revenue and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest calls, requests and problems, routing them to the appropriate department.
• Apply sales techniques to up‑sell services and maintain guest loyalty, including offering complimentary rewards.
• Process Marriott Rewards points, reservations, changes and cancellations via phone, fax or mail.
• Enter reservation data into the hotel’s software system accurately.
• Perform general office duties such as filing, emailing, typing and faxing to support Sales & Marketing.
• Assist management in training and motivating staff, serving as a role model.
• Uphold company policies, maintain professional appearance and protect confidential information.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs and communicate clearly and professionally.
• Monitor performance standards, verify information, and handle light physical tasks (objects ≤10 lb).

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of related work experience in sales, hospitality or customer service.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to perform light lifting and maintain a professional demeanor.
