Safety Supervisor

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Safety Supervisor to lead occupational health and safety activities on an infrastructure construction site in Metro Manila. You will ensure daily compliance with safety standards, protect workers, and support the project’s sustainable development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day safety operations on the construction site.
• Verify that all personnel wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Conduct regular health and safety inspections and take corrective actions.
• Investigate accidents, identify root causes, and participate in investigation committees.
• Gather workers’ safety concerns and communicate them to the Safety Manager.
• Organise and deliver safety training programmes and briefings.
• Develop emergency‑response plans and coordinate with management on safety matters.
• Monitor safety attitudes of site engineers, subcontractors, and workers.
• Report newly identified hazards to the Deputy Health Safety Manager.
• Enforce work stoppage or suspension when imminent danger is detected.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising safety on construction or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including local labor authority requirements.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments, inspections, and accident investigations.
• Effective communication skills for briefing workers and coordinating with management.
• Authority to enforce safety measures and, if necessary, halt work.
