Rotating Baker – Cruise Ship

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Rotating Baker to join our shipboard bakery team. The baker will ensure daily production of high‑quality bread for guest menus while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control the bakery shop efficiently according to company policies.
• Produce, quality‑check, and present a variety of breads for daily menus.
• Assist the Head Baker with production forecasts and waste tracking to control food costs.
• Set up bread displays across shipboard buffets.
• Maintain compliance with United States Public Health (USPH) regulations and prepare for inspections.
• Clean the bakery area following the Executive Chef’s schedule and proper methods.
• Requisition and transport supplies from main stores as needed.
• Ensure recipes and yields meet company standards.
• Support the CDP Baker with daily consumption recap.
• Participate in meetings, training, and other work‑related activities.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of baking experience in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required skills

• Knowledge of United States Public Health rules and regulations.
• Proficiency in proper cleaning techniques and use of bakery equipment.
