Revenue and Technical Accounting Analyst

About the role

Atlassian is hiring a Revenue and Technical Accounting Analyst, based in Manila but able to work remotely. The role covers day-to-day revenue accounting, month-end close, technical accounting under ASC 606, and supporting external reporting and audits.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily revenue accounting and month-end close, including journal entries, account reconciliations and flux analysis.
• Apply ASC 606 to customer contracts, flag complex arrangements and escalate them to leadership.
• Write technical accounting memos and position papers for new products, pricing changes and non-standard deals.
• Reconcile revenue subledger data (billing, Oracle, RevPro) against the general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Document and run SOX controls over revenue, evaluate designs and recommend improvements.
• Prepare quarterly and annual revenue disclosures and schedules for SEC filings and audits.
• Translate business needs into system and process requirements, support UAT for revenue system enhancements, and lead small projects that improve close efficiency and data quality.
• Advise Billing, Deal Desk, FP&A, Tax, Legal and systems teams, and support internal and external audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 2-3 years of experience in revenue accounting, technical accounting or external audit.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, attention to detail and ownership of deadlines.
• Ability to explain technical accounting conclusions to non-accounting stakeholders.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of US GAAP, especially ASC 606.
• Advanced Excel and comfort with large datasets.
• Experience with close-process improvement or automation tools.
• Preferred: CPA, Big 4 public accounting experience (technology or SaaS), SaaS or subscription business experience, hands-on revenue and ERP systems (Zuora, Oracle), and familiarity with SOX controls.
