Repair Technician

About the role

Acbel Polytech (Phils.) Inc. is seeking a Repair Technician to support the repair, troubleshooting, and continuous‑improvement of its electronic products. The role involves diagnosing product failures, performing component‑level repairs, and validating repaired units before release.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose product failures using schematics, test procedures and technical instructions.
• Repair, replace and rework electronic components and assemblies.
• Perform soldering, desoldering and component‑level repairs following quality standards.
• Use test equipment and measuring instruments to locate faults and verify repairs.
• Conduct functional checks and validation testing after repairs.
• Document defects, root causes and repair actions to support failure analysis.
• Assist engineering teams with product debugging and recurring‑issue investigations.
• Maintain accurate records of repaired units, component replacements and repair history.
• Label and track repaired, defective and pending units for traceability.

Required profile

• Graduate of Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology or a related technical‑vocational course.
• Experience in electronics repair, troubleshooting or production repair is a strong advantage.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documents.
• Proficiency in soldering, desoldering and electronic component replacement.
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment.
• Basic understanding of electronic components, circuits and PCB assemblies.
