Remote Law Clerk – California Employment Litigation (Philippines)

About the role

We are a California plaintiff‑side employment law firm seeking a licensed Philippine attorney to join our distributed team as a remote Law Clerk. You will support a California‑licensed attorney through the full litigation lifecycle on wage, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and wrongful termination cases.

Key responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, complaints, motions, and discovery requests in accordance with California Superior Court and Federal Court rules.
• Prepare and respond to all forms of discovery, including requests for production and interrogatories.
• Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and court databases.
• Manage case deadlines, filings, update the case‑management CRM, and monitor court dockets.
• Review and summarize depositions, discovery responses, medical records, and employment records.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
• Proactively drive cases forward, owning your caseload without waiting for instructions.

Required profile

• Licensed attorney in the Philippines with at least 3 years of active legal practice.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work California business hours (overnight in the Philippines).
• Reliable home‑office setup and stable internet connection.

Required skills

• Proficiency with LexisNexis legal research platform.
• Experience using AI‑driven tools for legal work.
• Familiarity with case‑management CRM systems.

What we offer

• Monthly compensation of $1,250 – $1,500 USD, based on experience.
