Hunt St is recruiting a full-time, remote irrigation designer for an Adelaide-based irrigation design and supply business. The client delivers tailored irrigation solutions for residential, commercial and recreational sites, including sports turf, golf courses and council-managed reserves. - Size tanks and pumps (e.g. Grundfos) to suit system requirements
- Prepare supporting documentation such as bills of materials and product schedules where required
- Administer CRM, projects and timesheet records in the business software, keeping opportunities, projects and tasks accurate
- Interpret written briefs, markups and design instructions from the client and Adelaide team, and report progress and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Required profile
- Demonstrated experience as an irrigation designer with a solid understanding of design principles, hydraulics and system layout
- Sound product knowledge of major irrigation brands (e.g. Hunter, Rain Bird, Toro, Netafim)
- Strong written and spoken English, able to interpret briefs and markups and communicate on Microsoft Teams calls
- Self-directed, organised and able to work to deadlines remotely with minimal supervision
- Nice to have: advanced IrrigationFX experience (especially database setup) and prior Odoo experience (CRM and project modules)
Required skills
- AutoCAD proficiency
- Microsoft product proficiency
- Competence administering projects and records in a CRM and project management system
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable home-office setup; software licenses are provided by the employer
The role is paid $3,000-$3,500 AUD per month before tax and deductions, with Adelaide business hours (8 AM-5 PM, Monday to Friday, 1 hour lunch). Employment is handled through an Employer of Record arrangement, and candidates must disclose any other ongoing roles or client work and not be engaged with design services for another Australian business.
