Remote Accountant / Bookkeeper (QuickBooks)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to work remotely, handling financial records, tax filings and payroll using QuickBooks. The successful candidate will ensure accuracy and compliance while supporting our finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks.
• Prepare and file federal, state and local tax returns.
• Process payroll and prepare payroll returns accurately and on time.
• Record transactions, reconcile accounts and generate financial reports.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Monitor financial data, identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with the finance team for timely reporting.
• Stay current with tax laws and accounting regulations.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proven experience as an accountant with strong focus on QuickBooks, tax and payroll.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
