Remote Accountant & Bookkeeper (QuickBooks)

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our remote team. The successful candidate will manage financial records, prepare tax and payroll returns, and ensure accurate bookkeeping using QuickBooks.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks.
• Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Process payroll and prepare payroll returns accurately and on time.
• Record financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate financial reports.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor financial data, identify discrepancies, and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with the finance team for timely reporting.
• Stay current with tax laws and accounting regulations.
• Support audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Accountant with a focus on QuickBooks, tax returns, payroll, and bookkeeping.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and payroll processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus.
