Reefer Technician

About the role

You will be responsible for inspecting, repairing and maintaining refrigerated vans and generator sets. The role includes performing pre‑trip inspections, air‑conditioning system repairs, condition surveys and preventive maintenance to keep the fleet running safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct PTI (Pre‑Trip Inspection) for Reefer Vans and Generator Sets and generate reports.
• Repair air‑conditioning units on reefer trucks, split‑type and window‑type systems.
• Perform structural and machinery condition surveys.
• Execute preventive maintenance and troubleshoot refrigeration machinery and gensets.
• Carry out minor repairs such as controller, EFM, CFM, heater and condenser replacements.
• Perform evaporator leak testing, vacuum procedures, and welding (steel and copper) as needed.
• Create repair estimates, gather and download diagnostic data, and prepare RAW and Innotes reports.
• Handle related email communications and detailed cleaning tasks.

Required profile

• Vocational degree or technical school certificate in Air‑conditioning.
• Special training for container inspection.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• NCII certification for Air‑conditioning systems (TESDA or equivalent).
