Recruitment Consultant – Accounting & Finance

About the role

Edward Jacobs, a leading recruitment firm specialising in accounting and finance, is seeking a Recruitment Consultant to expand its client base across Australia. You will drive business growth by building new client relationships and nurturing existing ones, while delivering high‑quality talent solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct telephone screening and assess candidate skills to create shortlists.
• Coach and guide candidates and clients throughout the hiring process.
• Prospect new clients via cold calling, email campaigns, and referrals.
• Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and negotiate contracts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing clients through business development and marketing activities.
• Perform reference checks on candidates.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of recruitment experience in agencies or corporate environments.
• Comfortable with cold calling and headhunting in a competitive market.
• Excellent attention to detail, time‑management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Self‑motivated, target‑oriented and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work within Australian business hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems and business development tools.
