Recreation Manager – Resort Leisure & Activities

About the role

The Recreation Manager will lead all leisure and wellness programs at our Cebu resort, delivering engaging activities for guests of all ages in an on‑site, full‑time capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and supervise daily recreation programs, including fitness, wellness and leisure activities.
• Lead, schedule and evaluate recreation staff to ensure high‑quality service.
• Maintain safe and well‑kept facilities and equipment.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to provide consistent guest experiences.
• Manage the recreation budget, monitor program performance and adjust offerings based on guest feedback and occupancy.
• Develop and run special events for adults and children, and promote activities to both hotel guests and external visitors.
• Create entertaining programs that involve hotel staff while upholding the “Always Gracious” service standards.

Required profile

• Strong supervisory abilities, including team leadership, staff scheduling and performance oversight.
• Experience designing inclusive, wellness‑focused recreation and therapeutic activities for adults and children.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests, team members and cross‑functional departments.
• Budgeting expertise to control program costs, revenue and resource allocation.
• Relevant experience in hotel or resort recreation management, hospitality or leisure services.
• Knowledge of safety standards, risk management and best practices in a recreation setting.
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays and a hands‑on, on‑site environment.
• Degree or diploma in Recreation Management, Hospitality, Tourism or a related field is an advantage.
