Quantity Surveyor – Construction Cost Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to lead cost estimation and procurement activities for our construction projects in the Philippines. The role involves preparing accurate bills of quantities, managing tender processes, and ensuring compliance with local building codes and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take‑offs, budgetary estimates and cost analyses for structural, architectural and civil works.
• Manage procurement and tender activities, including sourcing quotations, evaluating bids, comparing costs and negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, Japanese management and project teams to develop competitive project proposals.
• Review drawings, specifications and bid documents to produce reliable cost estimates.
• Conduct market research, supplier assessments and site inspections to support budgeting and procurement planning.
• Ensure adherence to company procurement procedures, ISO standards, the Philippine Building Code and contractual requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, cost databases, bid analyses and QS documentation for project execution and future reference.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Licensed Civil Engineer (PRC).
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in bid documentation, procurement and cost estimation.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Planswift for quantity take‑off.
• Knowledge of the Philippine Building Code.
• Familiarity with ISO quality and QA/QC standards.
• Competence in cost estimation, procurement management and bid evaluation.
