Quality Engineering Test Lead

About the role

A client of Staff Domain Inc. is hiring an experienced Quality Engineering Test Lead to head a team of QA professionals supporting the delivery of a SaaS insurance platform. The role combines hands-on testing leadership with people leadership, and is based in the Philippines (Ortigas, Pasig City) with a work-from-home setup. It works alongside Australian-based Product, Delivery and Engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead testing across multiple projects and releases, own quality outcomes, develop test strategies and plans, ensure coverage across functional, integration, regression, performance and UAT tests, and report quality status to project managers and stakeholders.
• Support release readiness reviews and production deployments.
• Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, run performance reviews, help with recruitment and onboarding, and build career pathways for testers and automation engineers.
• Drive automation adoption, define automation roadmaps, review automation frameworks and standards, and identify ways to reduce manual testing effort.
• Partner with Australian delivery leaders and collaborate with Product, Project Managers, Business Analysts, Architects and Developers, including in sprint reviews and planning.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software testing experience and 2+ years leading testing teams.
• Agile delivery experience, stakeholder management and offshore/distributed team management.
• SaaS platform experience preferred; insurance domain experience preferred.
• Preferred: Playwright/FitNesse, automation frameworks, API testing, JMeter, DevOps/CI/CD exposure, and AI-enabled testing tools.
