Machine Operator

About the role

The Machine Operator will work on polishing and precision manufacturing equipment in a cleanroom environment, producing optical lens components. The role requires careful handling of delicate parts, adherence to technical specifications, and the ability to work on shift schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Operate polishing machines and other precision manufacturing equipment, following detailed work instructions.
• Use measuring and inspection tools to verify product dimensions and quality.
• Perform routine machine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of faults.
• Maintain consistent production output while meeting quality standards and safety guidelines.

Required profile

• High school diploma or vocational/technical qualification with at least 1 year of manufacturing or production experience.
• Physically fit and able to handle small, delicate components and perform repetitive hand work.
• Willingness to work on shifting schedules, including overtime, weekends or holidays as needed.

Required skills

• Operation and monitoring of polishing machinery.
• Basic troubleshooting and problem‑solving for machine faults.
• Machine setup, calibration, and adjustment procedures.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, work instructions, and production specifications.
• Knowledge of quality control standards, inspection tools, and safety procedures.
