QA Inspector (Pumps)

About the role

The QA Inspector (Pumps) ensures that pre‑assembled components, work‑in‑process (WIP) items and finished goods meet Coherent Corp.'s quality standards. You will work in a cleanroom and office environment, supporting preventive maintenance, calibration, and continuous improvement of inspection processes.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect WIP products and finished goods using visual tools (microscope) and dimensional equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
• Perform functional, mechanical and visual tests, record results, and document IPQC/FQC findings.
• Maintain accurate logs in QA systems such as SAP, MetricQC, FIS and Test Engine.
• Identify, escalate and help resolve non‑conforming materials, supporting root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in process audits, closure of audit items, and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Quality Inspector in a related manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of quality principles, time‑management and dependability.

Required skills

• Microscope for visual inspection.
• Calipers, micrometers and gauges for dimensional measurement.
• Proficiency with SAP.
• Experience using MetricQC.
• Familiarity with FIS.
• Knowledge of Test Engine (if applicable).
